Special Inclusion[]

  • Intimidate Level I needs to be purchased before Level II, and so on.
  • Players are limited in the level they can purchase by the level of their Rogue class - you must have Rogue 4 to purchase Intimidate 4, for example.

Usage[]

  • X% chance to remove a buff: may occur even when the attacker loses against his target.

Recommendation[]

  • Use Intimidate to remove Divine Favor from clerics and bring their defense down to manageable levels.
  • As it works on wins or losses, a Rogue can work with a Mage with a token ready to splash the gate or alternatively use Intimidate and Ambush/Backstab together when preparing a new, full health gate ready for attack.
  • Mages using a combination of Enrage and either Polymorph or Confuse can be hampered by removing the Enrage buff and so reducing their reach.
  • In desperate times targeting a high damage Warrior to remove tokens could be an option, however on average this will take 10 tokens to remove one. Using Andraste in this instance can compensate for the risk involved.

Notes[]

  • Intimidate only works against Divine Favor and Enrage. Even with extensive testing no cases of removing Confidence, Resurrection or other older buffs have been reported.
  • Intimidate 5 appears to give a 60% chance of removing Divine Favor and Enrage and a 20% chance of removing a Token. The damage done when the target is out of Tokens is 60%, the same as the disable chance not the token removal chance.
  • While it costs 2 battle tokens to use, it also rewards twice the amount of battle points earned.
