Associated Equipment

Halcyon Grinder
  • Halcyon Grinder (12 Attack, 12 Defense) - Weapon

Item Bonus: +2 attack to Halcyon

Halcyon Necklace
  • Halcyon Necklace (12 Attack, 7 Defense) - Amulet

Item Bonus: +2 stamina when Halcyon is equipped

Halcyon Glove
  • Halcyon Glove (8 Attack, 6 Defense) - Gloves

Item Bonus: +2 defense to Halcyon

Notes

  • In PvP, since 70% of attack is factored in the total effective defense, Halcyon's ability is actually only adding 0.075 * attack stat to a player's defense in the overall calculation. Example: if a player has 1000/1000 attack defense stats, Halcyon's actual bonus is only +75 to defense instead of +250 because of the effective defense formula.
  • If you have Aurelius or Corvintheus, then you can calculate which one would provide the best possible defense using this quick calculation: if your attack is greater than 4.9x your health, then Halycon will be the most effective. (If Attack > 4.9x Health: Halycon, Attack < 4.9x: Aurelius or Corvintheus)
  • A great general for fortifying monsters.

Etymology

A halcyon is a mythical bird said to breed in a floating nest at sea during the winter solstice, during which time it charms the wind and waves into calm. The term originates from the Greek myth of Alcyone. In popular use, it can also mean to harken back to an earlier time, remembered as idyllic.
