Notes[]
Q: What do these rune stunning generals found in the Recloning chest do anyway?
A: It's complicated but the basics are that each general stuns part of the opponents rune ability, but only for a certain amount of time.
For example, Andraste at level 4 has "While equipped, +5% to Damage Rune Stun." so you will take away 5% of your opponent's Damage Rune bonus.
Max 30%." Therefore, it will take 6 hits to maximize the bonus, taking away 30% of their rune bonus.
The timer is thought to degrade the advantage gained by 5% every 5 minutes. So essentially a 1 token hit with 5% advantage, is nullified before you get your next token. (Actual time needs verification)
So you would have to repeat hit all at once, or collaborate with guild mates to keep an opponent at a permanent disadvantage. And perhaps not worth it for LoM or LoE where opponents dont hit back.
If you get a victory you will see something like: You have stunned your opponent! Opponent Damage Rune is at -5%! (Example: Their 200 damage rune is now only a 190 damage rune)
If you get a defeat you will see something like: You have stunned your opponent! Opponent Damage Rune is at -3%! (so zombies have some little power)
If it happens to you, you will see: "Your Damage Rune has been weakened by -5% from stun power!"
If it happens to you repeatedly, you could see: "Your Damage Rune has been weakened by -30% from stun power!" (but only briefly)
On the bright side they are some of the top generals for base stats. http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Equipment then see "General Attacking" and "General Defending" sections.
